Methodology
Scope. These figures cover public Letterboxd diaries belonging to people listed in Fameboxd. They are not a Letterboxd-wide chart, a representative celebrity poll or a measure of cinema attendance.
Watches. A watcher is one person per film. Every diary log is an entry, so rewatches increase entry totals but never the watcher count.
Ratings and rewatches. Each person contributes their most recent non-null rating for a film in the period. A rewatcher has either a marked rewatch or multiple entries; marked rewatch entries are counted separately.
Dates. Year views use dated entries only. All-time totals retain 0 undated entries, while time charts exclude them. The all-time activity chart starts in 2011; older entries remain in all-time totals and rankings. Dates after the committed cutoff of 19 October 2026 are excluded everywhere.
Weighted ratings. Ranking score = (v ÷ (v + m)) × R + (m ÷ (v + m)) × C, where R is the film average, v its raters, C the period-wide representative-rating mean and m is 5. The displayed rating is still the ordinary Fameboxd average.
Refresh. Fameboxd refreshes committed public-diary data daily. All calculations happen when the site builds; the browser downloads no diary dataset.
